Mrs. Nicole Burtman

Welcome to Mrs. Burtman’s 5th/6th Grade Social Studies page.  This is  my 7th year of teaching at Divide County Elementary School.  I teach 5th and 6th grade Social Studies.

About me:
I graduated from high school in Williston, ND, attended 2 years at UND-Williston, transferred to Valley City State University, graduating with a BSED in 1994.  I taught in various schools in MT and  ND including a one room school near Sidney, MT and a rural school district near Williston, ND.  In 2002, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom.  When my youngest started kindergarten in August 2010, I began teaching in Crosby at Divide County Elementary.

My husband, Paul, and I have 3 children.  Sophie is 15.  Sam is 13.  Maren is 12.  We live on a ranch NW of Wildrose, ND.  We raise beef cattle.  As a family, we enjoy horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, archery and other shooting sports, board/card games and camping.
Some of my interests are sports(especially volleyball and basketball), horseback riding, archery,  camping, cooking, reading and anything my children like to do.  I officiate high school and college volleyball in the fall.  I feel very privileged to be able to work with you and your children, helping each child be successful.
